About 6th ISST
In celebration of the 42nd Anniversary of Universitas Terbuka (UT), the Faculty of Science and Technology will host the 6th International Seminar on Science and Technology (ISST) 2026. This event will combine Seminars and Annual Meetings by the Association of State Universities in the Western Region for Mathematics and Natural Sciences Indonesia (SEMIRATA BKS PTN Barat).
The rapid development of science and technology requires universities, research institutions, industries, and governments to continuously adapt in addressing global challenges. One of the most strategic approaches that has gained worldwide attention is the strengthening of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as a fundamental pillar in driving sustainable innovation.
In Indonesia, this vision is strongly aligned with President Prabowo Subianto’s national development agenda through the Asta Cita program, which serves as the foundation for achieving the vision of “Bersama Indonesia Maju, Menuju Indonesia Emas 2045”.
The 6th ISST 2026 aims to provide a platform for scholars, practitioners, and stakeholders to collaborate, share ideas, research findings, and innovations that support sustainable development through STEM.
